European football’s governing body Uefa has upheld Feyenoord’s latest fine for misbehaviour by their fans during last season’s run to the Conference League final.
The Rotterdam club was ordered to pay €15,000 for a ‘provocative banner’ displayed during the final against AS Roma in Tirana, Albania, among a slate of infringements around the match that cost the club €63,875 altogether.
Feyenoord’s appeal against the fine for the banner was dismissed on Tuesday, taking its total fines last season to more than €650,000. Fans have also been banned from the first away match of this season’s Europa League competition against Lazio on Tuesday.
