The Dutch government will stop providing most help to companies hit by the coronavirus regulations from April 1. All three main schemes – the TVL, NOW and tax deferral – will halt at the end of the first quarter, the finance ministry said in a statement.
There are now positive economic prospects ahead and ‘thanks the financial support, the economy is now at full speed and unemployment is very low,’ the finance ministry said in a statement.
Some very specific measures, such as the guarantee for the organisers of large events and temporary credit guarantees will continue until the end of June, the ministry said.
Companies which asked for a delay in paying taxes will now have five years to catch up with what they owe.
